Digital Painting- Shop front

Ok, so having a chat with my tutors I have found out the key to a good digital painting is reference images and creating a palette of colours. So, here is my first attempt! I first collected a few images of Japanese shop fronts.

I then began drawing up an outline, and creating a palette.

I then got carried away and didn't save any more progress images. So here is the final image.

I am actually really pleased with how this has come out, and hopefully there will be more decent digital paintings to come!
